The Blossom
Mental Health Fund
The Blossom Mental Health Fund is a registered non-profit focused on supporting the mental health and well-being of Asian Canadians.
We work across multiple levels — providing therapy grants to reduce financial barriers, creating culturally-nuanced mental health content and resources and building professional infrastructure to strengthen the sustainability of Asian mental health providers across Canada.
Our mission is to expand access, reduce stigma and invest in the future of Asian mental health care.
Where our stories bloom and care systems grow.
Our Work
The Blossom Mental Health Fund invests in Asian mental health care at both the community and professional levels. Our work is focused on three core pillars:
Therapy Grants
The Blossom Mental Health Fund is committed to making psychotherapy as accessible as possible for Asian Canadians.
Through our therapy grants program, we aim to provide financial support to Asian Canadians facing economic barriers to care, with the goal of expanding access to culturally responsive mental health services.
Note: Our grants program is currently on pause.
Professional Community
Sustainable community care requires sustainable providers.
The Blossom Asian Therapist Network is a curated professional community for Asian-identifying licensed mental health professionals practicing in Canada.
This network strengthens referral pathways, supports supervision and peer consultation, and fosters meaningful professional collaboration across provinces. By investing in clinicians, we invest in the long-term health of our communities.
Stories and Resources
We believe storytelling shifts culture.
Through media, education and community-based resources, we explore the nuances of mental health stigma within Asian diasporic communities and examine how cultural context shapes experiences of mental illness, help-seeking and healing.
Our goal is to create content that reflects the lived realities of Asian Canadians — and helps normalize conversations around mental health.
